'The Walking Dead' Season 7: Daryl Dixon Going To Break? What Will Negan Do To Him? Character To Go Through More Hell?

If seeing two of your friends die in front of you after being smashed in the head by a guy you barely knew and you attempted to at least stand up for them but could not do anything about it will not break you, then Negan might just have the thing to make you cringe and fear for what is to come next. After the shocking "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 1, Daryl was taken away by the men of Negan and in Episode 3, the beloved character was seen going through a lot, which are way worse than what he had to go through in the past seasons.

"TWD" Season 7 Episode 3 was entitled "The Cell" and the latest installment of the AMC series gave fans a look at how Daryl got consumed by his guilt for believing that Glenn died because of him. Although no one saw that Glenn was really going to get killed that way, his head was smashed with Lucille, the bat of Negan, after Daryl tried to interfere after Abraham got killed. It seems that the guilt will break Daryl Dixon making it the first time that fans got to see a different side of the character since his brother's death on "The Walking Dead."

In the past "TWD" episodes, Daryl was seen protecting his friends, trying to fight off walkers, finding love but resisting it, and going into the woods for solo missions but redeeming himself despite being beaten and bruised. However, all changed on the latest episode of "The Walking Dead" as Daryl was seen spending most of his time in a cell and choking down dog food sandwiches. Dwight also gave Daryl a photo of the bashed skull of Glenn, Vanity Fair reported.

In "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 1, Negan was able to break Rick by making him get the ax while a horde of walkers was outside the van. Rick was also close to chopping his son's arm off so that no one else from his group would get killed. Rick was so scared and defeated in the "TWD" premiere and it seems that Negan will be doing that to a lot of characters this season. It remains unclear, however, when Daryl would really break on "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

In an interview with Norman Reedus, the actor playing the role of Daryl, said that the reason behind the character being tortured on "TWD" Season 7 is because a hero has to be broken to his lowest point. He added that he thinks it is the theme for "The Walking Dead" Season 7. It might then be impossible that someone from the Saviors would try and let Daryl escape.

"The Walking Dead" airs Sundays on AMC at 9 P.M.
