iOS News & Update: WhatsApp Adds GIF Support In The Most Recent And Latest Update For iOS! [DETAILS HERE]

The latest update for iOS enables GIF support for WhatsApp. WhatsApp users on iOS are now able to send GIF within the application.

According to The Tech Portal, WhatsApp is a late comer and many other messaging applications already have GIF integration. The latest update for iOS has a good number of interesting new offerings that comes along with the messenger.

The first new feature on WhatsApp is the ability to send GIFs stored on iPhone device. WhatsApp also added the new ability to search Giphy's huge and extended library.

There is also an Editor in the WhatsApp that can let users modify the downloaded GIFs even more. Users are able to add captions, stickers and drawings to animations. Users of WhatsApp can also decrease the length of clips and have it suited according to one's preferences.

There is also a new WhatsApp feature to convert videos six seconds and shorter to be turned into GIFs. A user only needs to choose a video to be converted into GIF within WhatsApp and use the GIF to toggle to make it one. WhatsApp also enables the user to turn live photos into GIFs by attaching and 3-D touching a live photo.

As added by The Inquirer, the addition of GIF support on iOS comes when the firm lately became one of the first to use iOS 10's support for Siri integration. It is now possible for a user to ask Siri to send WhatsApp messages or start WhatsApp calls.

This means saying "Send a WhatsApp message to Dan," would mean Siri doing it exactly for the user. It is important to be able to say it clearly as Siri may interpret the message as something else.

This feature on WhatsApp has been available on Android since Sept. It is now good that iOS users can also enjoy the same update as well.
