Nintendo Brings Back the Classics: 'NES Classic Edition' Release Date, Games & Price Revealed!

Nintendo is bringing back the classics with the upcoming release of the "NES Classic Edition". Kids of the 80's will remember the 8-bit marvel that brought joy to our homes and glued us to our old fat CRT TV screens.

The era of 8-bit games may already be over and its glory days may be far behind, but it still holds a place in the hearts of many gamers today. With the advent of high-powered hardware, high-resolution screens, and jaw-dropping graphics, the NES era games may have taken a backseat, but not without leaving a legacy that would be remembered and reiterated for generations to come.

Games like "Super Mario" and "The Legend of Zelda" began as 2D pixelated sprites and have evolved with almost every gaming console Nintendo has released. Today, Nintendo is bringing us back to where it all began and will give gamers the opportunity to relive the early days of gaming.

Older gamers will get to satisfy the nostalgia while today's kids will learn what games were like back in the day. Nintendo will be releasing the "NES Classic Edition" along with several events that will surely get you hyped.

On Nov. 10, The Nintendo NY store in Rockefeller Plaza will treat fans to a blast from the past with an '80s-themed launch event. On the launch weekend from Nov. 11 to 13, Nintendo will be bringing back the Power Line for three days only. Players can call in when having trouble with a game, and can ask questions such as "Where do I find the warp zones in Super Mario?". And on Nov. 10 and Nov. 11, Nintendo's social media channels will go retro to a time when social media involved trading passwords and game tips.

The console will launch with 30 pre-installed games, including popular titles such as "Super Mario", "The Legend of Zelda", "Donkey Kong", "Castlevania" and more. The release date is set for November 11 will retail for $59.99.
