"XCOM 2" for PC has added a new feature for users. The game was released for the PC on February 2016. The latest update now allows the game to be played with a controller. On top of that, the controller allows a first-person view of the game headquarters known as the "Avenger."
According to Game Spot, the "XCOM 2" for PC update, called Patch 7, is automatically updated by Steam. Accessing the first-person walkthrough of the Avenger also requires that the camera is enabled with the use of the game's mod tools, or using the in-game console. This can be accessed via the Properties menu from within Steam. This is done by clicking on Set Launch Options and then typing in "-allowconsole". After that, the player can access the console by pressing on the tilde ("~") or the front slash key ("").To allow the user a walk around the Avenger HQ and go through stuff, the player simply needs to type in "toggledebugcamera" from within the console.
In line with this, "XCOM 2" Creative Director Jake Solomon also released a video showing a tour of the HQ Avenger. The console access was originally used by developers to test and use the "XCOM 2." Players can also do the same, including testing different combinations of loads, as well as developing different maps.
For players who are curious about the "XCOM 2" HQ, they can zip around the place and explore. Although trivial, "XCOM 2" for PC update on HQ Avenger allows the player to take a closer look at details of some of the items on display, as well as a better view and experience at the commissary.
The release of the first-person view capability of "XCOM 2" does not in any way add to the gameplay. However, it can help the player improve how he plays, and it also makes it easier for him to understand the story behind "XCOM 2."
