Philippine President Duterte, congratulates Trump, hopes for a better relationship towards US and the Philippines [PHOTOS, VIDEO]

The U.S. elections have come to a close. Donald Trump has won! It has come to a surprise in this event in the history of the United States. Hillary Clinton conceded to Trump as he led the winning votes.

Asia's dubbed, "Trump of the East", the President of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, congratulates the newly President-elect as a Philippine Minister stated last Wednesday. According to Reuters, he hopes to work together as with mutual respect and benefit with the brand new administration to better the US and the Philippines relationship.

President Rodrigo Duterte, notoriously known to curse, did not fare well with the Obama administration with his war on drugs. Now that he has learned the results of the U.S. Elections, the President of the Philippines has announced an extraordinary praise.

"Long live to you. After all, we are both fond of cursing," President Rodrigo Duterte stated, with reference to US President-elect Donald Trump. "We curse for the simplest reason. We're the same."

Duterte did not have the best relationship with the Obama administration as he was criticized for splitting up the US-Philippines relations. As per NYTimes, he vowed to separate the two nations before.
