‘The Voice’ Updates: Top 20 Performance Night Oust Eight Contestants, The Show’s New Format Results To Wrong And Unfair Elimination Results?

The episode where "The Voice" Season 11 chooses its Top 12 can be considered historic because for the first time ever, the performances, voting, and eliminations are all done on the same night. For this reason, the most recent episode of the singing competition is super packed with so many happenings that the viewers probably found it hard to digest everything all at once. Another question that bugs the show's followers is if the new format proves to be advantageous to the contenders or will it result to wrong eliminations?

As posted in Yahoo, here's a brief recap of what transpired in that one-of-a-kind performance night. For team Alicia, Sa'Rayah who sang "I'd Rather Go Blind" gave a great performance and so got the save vote from mentor, Alicia Keys. Christian Cuevas and We' McDonald are safe as well by getting the most number of votes. In the end, Kylie Rothfield and Josh Halverson were eliminated.

According to Hollywood Reporter, for Blake Shelton's group, Sundance Head and Austin Allsup garnered the highest votes, so they are safe for the night. Since Blake chose to save Courtney Harrell, Jason Warrior and Dana Harper are the ones who had to say goodbye.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus thinks that it is Darby Walker who deserves saving. The lucky contenders who got the most votes and are therefore safe are Ali Caldwell and Aaron Gibson. It is however not a very fortunate night for Sophia Urista and Belle Jewel who were both eliminated.

Lastly, Adam Levin chose to save Brendan Fletcher who sang 'To Love Somebody." Billy Gilman and Josh Gallagher are safe by having the most number of votes. Then the competition is declared over for Riley Elmore and Simone Gundy who were voted out for the night.

Are you happy with the results of the performance in an episode of "The Voice?" Do you think the new format hinders the judges and the people to gauge who really deserve to stay and who has to go?
