Everyone's excited about Selena Gomez's possible comeback at the American Music Awards 2016 after her three-month hiatus. The "Good For You" singer is also nominated at the AMAs, along with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Will they have an awkward run-in?

Gomez took a break from performing and recently canceled the rest of her Revival tour as she was said to have been suffering from depression because of her lupus condition, the Daily Mail previously reported. Gomez stayed at a facility in Tennessee to deal with her illness. Since then, the pop star has only been spotted with her family and friends on several lunch outs.

Speculations that Gomez will choose the AMAs as her comeback venue abound, as the singer is nominated for major awards this year according to E! News. Gomez's ex-flame Justin Bieber is also nominated at the award show, and fans are worried Gomez might not want to push through with her attendance for fear of bumping into Bieber.

However, sources say that Bieber would not attend this year's AMAs, as reported by Hollywood Life. Bieber's absence can be true as he's scheduled on tour. He'll be in Italy on Nov. 20, the same schedule as the AMAs 2016. Sources close to Gomez disclosed that because of this, Gomez will feel "less stress" during the night.
