Beyonce Knowles talks about Daughter Blue Ivy

Beyonce Knowles is a busy mom who is totally involved in her cute daughter Blue Ivy.

During a chat with Vogue, the proud mom opened up about her little daughter Blue Ivy, who turned one recently.

"She's my road dog," Us Weekly quoted the 31-year-old pop star, telling the magazine, about Blue Ivy. "She's my homey, my best friend."

After dating for almost six years, Beyonce and rapper Jay-Z tied the knot in New York City April 4, 2008. The celebrity couple welcomed their daughter Blue Ivy Carter Jan. 7, 2011..

One year has passed since the singer welcomed her first child. However, the memories of giving birth remain fresh in her mind as the day.

"I had a very strong connection with my child," the proud mom, said to Vogue, according to Us Weekly. "I felt like when I was having contractions, I envisioned my child pushing through a very heavy door. And I imagined this tiny infant doing all the work, so I couldn't think about my own pain...We were talking. I know it sounds crazy, but I felt a communication."

In May 2012, five months after giving birth, the singer, who was crowned the "Most Beautiful" Woman of 2012 by People magazine, surprised everyone with the speed she lost 60 pounds (27 kg).

Apart from her loving daughter, the singer also talked about her family and life.

"I feel like I have something that has grounded me so much more," Us Weekly quoted Knowles explaining to the magazine. "Family has always been important. I've always had my mother and my father and my husband. But it's just...Life is so much more than...It's not defined by any of this [fame or money]."
