Nintendo NES Classic Edition Sold Out, Scalpers Taking Advantage Of The Demand? Microsoft Xbox One Outsold Sony PS4?

The three titans of gaming are hyping up the market as the holiday season approaches. Microsoft Xbox One is said to have surpassed Sony PS4 in console sales, while Nintendo is selling out the NES Classic Edition.

Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo are three of the biggest names when it comes to gaming. The so-called console wars between Microsoft Xbox One and the Sony PS4 have been going on ever since the last-gen consoles were launched. Nintendo, on the other hand, is just in the background making what it does best, creating fun video games.

The rivalry between Sony and Microsoft has now reached new heights. Both companies have just released their upgraded versions of their current consoles boasting speed and graphics enhancements. According to GSM Arena's article on November 11, 2016, Microsoft launched the Xbox One S and has been outselling the Sony PS4 in the US market for the past four months, with UK and Australia in the last two months.

Sony on the other side of the competition has just released what seems to be the company's most powerful console, the PS4 PRO. Sony's new console boasts of increased GPU, higher memory, and faster loading times. Sony also announced recently that they have surpassed the 47 million units sold but experienced a decline in operating income. Both companies also released software updates for their current consoles.

While all of these are happening, the humble Nintendo is busy reproducing the classic edition of the NES or Nintendo Entertainment System. According to Forbes, the NES Classic Retro Edition sold out moments after announcements from Amazon regarding the availability of the console.

Nintendo has once again created the hottest item for the holiday season. Scalpers are currently taking advantage of the situation even though Nintendo promised to restock the market's NES inventory before the holidays. The latest NES posted on EBAY has a price tag of $4,999.00.
