Reports are now anticipating that the premiere date for season 5 of "Vikings" would most likely be delayed further. Also, spoilers and theories for the upcoming "Vikings" Season 5 are already talking about the potential death of Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) and Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel).

Rumors are now circulating that the premiere date for season 5 of "Vikings" is anticipated to be delayed further. The theory stemmed out from the postponement of the finale episode of season 4. The upcoming  "Vikings" Season 5 is now predicted to premiere in September 2017, Mobile&Apps noted.

Furthermore, various speculations on the fate of the lead cast of "Vikings" have floated on the web. Ragnar has been speculated to die in the next season of "Vikings." Fans of "Vikings" will see the return of Ragnar to the Kattegat world and will allegedly meet his demise when he battles with King Aelle.

Even the promo video for the midseason premiere of "Vikings" season 4 teases the death of Ragnar. The short clip only featured the return of Ragnar to Kattegat and towards the end of the clip, he seems to have ended his life by hanging himself in a tree.

Moreover, lead cast Lagertha has been predicted to die in season 5 of "Vikings." Fans can recall that season 4 ended with a heart-breaking scene where Lagertha was stabbed in her chest, while engaged in a battle in Paris. The unexpected scene led many to believe that "Vikings" season 4 finale has already unveiled the demise of the shield maiden, HNGN reported.

On the contrary, "Vikings" creator Michael Hirst has previously revealed that Lagertha's character will not be killed off in the show. The creator further emphasized that Katheryn Winnick's character has great significance in the series, who is actually considered the soul of the series. Fans of Lagertha can still expect their beloved character to appear in season 5 of "Vikings." However, the upcoming season of "Vikings" is yet to unveil how Lagertha will survive her critical condition from the battle in Paris.

There is still no official announcement on the air date of "Viking" Season 5. The next half of season 4 is scheduled to return on Nov. 30, 2016.
