Andy Cohen Drops AIDS Bombshell; 'Watch What Happens Live Host' Tells All In New Memoir

TV host and producer Andy Cohen made a shocking revelation when he admitted that seriously thought he has contracted AIDS back in 2014. The "Watch What Happens Live" host now reveals details of his sexual health and other dark secrets in his new book, "Superficial: More Adventures From the Andy Cohen Diaries."

In Cohen's diary book, the 48-year-old host detailed how he had himself tested for AIDS in 2014, Radar Online reports. He wrote that he has always taken precaution in safe sex, yet admits that the whole experience terrified him. To his relief, the tests came back negative.

He also stressed in his memoir that his mind was running through a series of negative thoughts, and luckily, he breathed a sigh of relief. He remembered being just 22, during the AIDS outbreak in 1990s, that he feared he would get the disease and die from it.

Cohen is the quite open about his sexual orientation and is known to be gay. According to the Daily Mail, the "Watch What Happens" host is currently dating 28-year-old Brazillian Harvard Ph.D. student, Clifton Dassuncao, whom he met during one of the show's tapings.

Even before this revelation, Cohen is a known supporter of AIDS research and prevention. Yahoo News noted that the Award-winning television personality hosted the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 15th Annual Enduring Vision Benefit Gala earlier this month. The event gathered celebrities with extraordinary contributions to the global effort to halt AIDS.

Meanwhile, Cohen also wrote about other explosive secrets related to his career. In his book, the Bravo host mentioned the time when he jumped into the Taylor Swift and Katy Feud, Billboard reports.
