‘Titanfall 2’ News & Updates: Rumors On ‘Titanfall 3’ Unsure Per Respawn Entertainment; ‘Titanfall 2’ Sales Lower Than Expected?

In the latest "Titanfall 2" news and updates, despite the positive reviews received from Xbox One, PS4, and PC gamers, game developers Respawn Entertainment is still on the bench whether "Titanfall 3" will be developed. This is due to the lower sales numbers of "Titanfall 2."

Among the latest "Titanfall 2" news and updates is that sales numbers were unsatisfactory according to Eurogamer. It was the first "Titanfall" game to come out on the PS4 platform, which Respawn Entertainment hoped would add to the sales number.

However, despite generally positive reviews after the Xbox One, PS4, and PC release last month, the first-person shooter game "Titanfall 2," numbers were really down prompting the game creators to rethink of the sequel: "Titanfall 3."

During an interview with Glixel in the "Titanfall 2" news and updates, Respawn Entertainment said that it's still too early to say if the game was a success in terms of a sales perspective. The developers, however, are happy with the positive reception of the game.

On a positive note in the "Titanfall 2" news and updates, IGN  reported that Respawn Entertainment would love to make a third installment to the "Titanfall" franchise to tell more of the storyline and about the game's universe. And that they will "explore more of it."

However, Gamespot reported that video games company EA, who publishes the "Titanfall" games, is looking at the "Titanfall" franchise in a long-term approach. And that in the latest "Titanfall 2" news and updates, first-day and first-week sales projections are not the focus with the title.

"Titanfall 2" was released alongside other popular shooter games like "Battlefield," one possible reason why early sales of the game turned out low. To help players engage more with the game, EA intends to give out several extra digital contents for free.

"Titanfall" is a first-person shooting game where players can control large, weaponized Mechas or the Mecha's agile pilot as they face other Mechas and Mecha pilots in a faction war within "the frontier." Unlike the first game, "Titanfall 2" has a single-player mode that dives into the game's storyline.
