Plenty of gamers were horrified when they first encountered the personification of anger within the "Silent Hill 2" hero James Sunderland. The game character Pyramid Head was a disfigured and visually striking opponent that players have to defeat in the horror survival game.

The next addition to the new video game update list is Dante from the game "Devil May Cry" who is shown using pistols he named Ebony and Ivory. Dante is considered by many as a very cool game character that has white hair and has a penchant for wearing a flowing frock coat.

The game character Nathan Drake who is the master treasure hunter in the game "Uncharted" is known by gamers as the Indiana Jones of video games. The last chapter of the series titled "Uncharted: A Thief's End" is now available for the PlayStation 4.

The badass game character Kratos from the "God of War" series is very well known among PlayStation fans. Moreover, in the new video game update, Sony has recently revealed that the new "God of War" game will show Kratos as a father and he would have to deal with enemies from Norse mythology.

Clementine from Telltale's "The Walking Dead" game series also made it into the memorable game characters list. In the survival game, she's considered as the moral compass of the story and her innocence amidst the apocalypse is what makes the game move forward.

Lightning from the RPG "Final Fantasy XIII" is a game character considered by fans as the best female character in the "Final Fantasy" universe. She has a down to earth beauty and at the same time can turn very powerful when the situation requires it.

The "Diablo" game series has also produced a memorable character in the form of the archangel of justice Tyrael. In the action RPG, he fights to preserve the human plane even when the forces of hell are trying to destroy all of humanity.
