Technology WIll Always Remain One Step Behind

Machines were made by man to reduce difficulties in life and to make work easier. Today machines are doing wonders, they can read facial features, expressions, scan fingerprints, navigate, draw money for humans and what not. However, there are some limitations to machines as for today. Artificial intelligence has been working on learning robots that behave like primitive humans in their ability to learn from information stored of previous experiences.

There has been speculation as to how artificial intelligence can achieve its highest and most proficient level. According to IBI Times, a recent study conducted has described how the brain of infants works. The learning power of a baby's brain is exceptional as there are no earlier experiences for them to learn from. The conception of a new voice, image or scene is not present already in the memory, therefore babies tend to learn the quickest.

Babies are highly sensitive to their environment and in turn internalize what they experience through their senses. Subsequently, they build theories and a variety of hypothesis of what they see and perceive and act accordingly.

According to Science Mag, scientists are working on inducing the children probabilistic learning methods into computers and artificial intelligence. The characteristic of human brain to think, adapt, learn and react is a key element in the formation and building of computers whom they want to act like humans.

The huge difference between a human mind and machine is that a human brain works according to the way it processes and cross checks an information with previously memorized data, the machine on the other hand works according to an algorithm which commonly requires tons of efforts to perform a simple task with humanly accuracy. However, scientists are still working on putting the stimulant response of a baby's brain into computational devices and robots to get a similar response as that of a brain.
