‘The Equalizer 2’ Release Date, News & Update: Denzil Washington To Team Up With Fuqua, Release Date Pushed Back?

The new movie from "The Equalizer" is coming our way next year for the follow-up to director Antoine Fuqua. Columbia Picture officially set the release date for Sept. 29, 2017, for "The Equalizer 2" but the date may be pushed back.

Antoine Fuqua who is the director of the movie "The Magnificent Seven" with Denzel Washington as the lead will be teaming up for the upcoming movie "The Equalizer 2." This news has been confirmed by producer Todd Black as posted by the Collider.

While it was first announced that the scheduled release date for the movie is September 29 next year as posted by coming soon website, "The Equalizer 2" may have to be pushed back since it seems like they will start to shoot the sequel around that time.

During the recent interview of the producer Todd Black with Steve Weintraub, the producer confirmed that script is done for "The Equalizer 2." However, they will start shooting after Labor Day or before Labor Day on September which depends upon Denzel's schedule.

Todd Black said during the interview that they are going to be doing a little more work and after that, they will start looking for casts. The team up of Denzel Washington and the director is such a good news for fans who loves the "The Equalizer."

Mr. McCall is Denzel Washington who stars the "The Equalizer." The first sequel is all about Mr. McCall a former black ops commando who faked his death to rescue a young girl. He set aside his retirement to rescue a young girl serving vengeance to those who brutalize the helpless.

Mr. McCall on the movie "The Equalizer" survived and faced assassinations before being able to kill the Russian head of the snake. The helpless turns to Mr. McCall and Mr. McCall awakens his desires for justice.
