‘Dishonored 2’ New Update: Free Update Features A New Game, PC Issues Not Fixed?

Released last November 11, 2016, "Dishonored 2" from Bethesda and Arkane Studios boasts a new level of stealth gameplay. The game was well received during its release except for the PC version which is currently swarming with complaints.

"Dishonored 2" was launched a day earlier than expected on Steam, however, the version presented a lot of issues in regards to performance and control. Dishonored 2's PC version is not performing as expected. Some of the issues include constant framerate drops, unexpected crashes, and poor mouse response.

The Steam community is literally filled with steaming players who bought "Dishonored 2." Some of the postings on the community board include the following: "I tried to assassinate someone but the only thing that was murdered was my framerate," Been days since I got this game and I still can't play it." and "I guess releasing broken PC games has become the standard now. Classic developers."

Bethesda and Arkane Studios already released the first patch for "Dishonored 2" and is currently available on Steam. The 1.1 Beta patch includes Mouse improvements, including a fix for sensitivity being framerate dependent, it also Fixes an AMD cloth physics issue that impacts framerates at various points in the game and fixes an issue affecting CPU task priority - the game no longer switches CPU task priority, according to Bethesda.

The new update that includes a free game may be beneficial for console owners but is not a priority to PC gamers. Bethesda also assured the public thru their latest announcement that the Update 1.2 is already underway. Dishonored 2's second update is said to fix a broader range of issues of the PC version and was estimated to go live next week. "Dishonored 2" is currently getting a very low rating of 6/10 versus the console version's rating of five stars. Hopefully, this issue will be fixed immediately to redeem the reputation of "Dishonored 2.".
