Zayn Malik, Perrie Edwards Split: Zayn Ends Engagement By Text Message? Ex-1D Slams Perrie On Twitter [Rumors]

There is indeed no security for couple's to end in marriage despite being engaged, as the case with former One Direction member Zayn Malik and Little Mix's Perrie Edwards. The pair had been together since 2012 and got engaged in 2013, but they split two weeks ago.

It was Malik who called off the engagement, but the manner he broke up with her was worse. A source told The Sun that Malik was so immature and inconsiderate of other's feelings despite Perrie's loyalty to him by standing beside him through thick and thin.

The same source said, "He ended their engagement with one text message and in the two weeks since there's been complete radio silence between them."

Another report from The Sun noted that the pair had just purchased a £3-million house, but they never got the chance to move to their new abode, which had a 25-acre garden, gym and cinema. The break-up left the brokenhearted Perrie without any idea where to stay.

The source further revealed that it was the house where Perrie believed she and Malik would build their family. It was their dream house, and they loved it.

While Perrie was devastated, Malik, on the other hand, seemed to be keeping a grudge against her. He tweeted, "You just can't do enough for some people, I guess," which many believed was for his ex-girlfriend after she kept on pushing him to set an official wedding date, according to Hollywood Life.

In a separate report, a source told Hollywood Life the details about the controversial split. "Zayn and Perrie had been struggling for months. She's been touring and he's been focusing on the second chapter in his career. They barely saw each other and they hadn't even had sex in over two months. The further they fell apart, the more anxious she got and the more she started pressing him to set a wedding date. She pushed and pushed and finally Zayn told her he didn't want to get married."

Zayn seemed to be determined to move on without Perrie. The singer had been planning to remove his tattoo of her face on his upper right arm. Since it was tattooed with dark ink, it would not be easy to remove. However, Zayne had other plans. He would let his favorite tattoo artist turn it into a lotus flower.
