‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Spoilers: Mon-El’s Superhero Costume Revealed! How Would Winn React To Kara & Mon-El’s Romance?

It's official: Mon-El (Chris Wood) is suiting up on "Supergirl" Season 2! The actor revealed what his superhero costume would look like in the CW series.

Wood previously said in an interview with Empire that his superhero costume on "Supergirl" Season 2 looks similar to what was already seen in his comic book counterpart. He added that the "Supergirl" team is "always true to the comic" like what they did to The Flash (Grant Gustin) and the Green Arrow (Stephen Amell). Check out Mon-El's costume in the comic books below.

Ohhh, so THAT'S who I'm playing.

The 28-year-old actor told Empire that he has already donned Mon-El's costume for future episodes on the set of "Supergirl." Wood described the suit as "awesome" and guaranteed to fans that him wearing it while standing next to Kara (Melissa Benoist) is "going to be a really cool visual."

However, Mon-El's debut in his superhero costume will not happen instantly. The character still has to find the purpose and motivation that will push him to protect the Earth's inhabitants from sinister threats.

Wood said that initially, Mon-El doesn't want to be a superhero because "he doesn't feel the same impulse to go save the world [the way Supergirl] does." But there will come a point when Mon-El would find himself brimming with the need to help people.

Kara mentoring Mon-El will head into something more as the two aliens continue to bond with each other. Next week's episode of "Supergirl" Season 2 titled "Medusa" confirmed that Kara and Mon-El are indeed on the path to romance and it will be her adoptive mother, Eliza (Helen Slater), pointing out that Mon-El has feelings for the Kryptonian, SpoilerTV reported.

This isn't exactly good news for Kara's best friend, Winn (Jeremy Jordan). In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Jordan said that it's possible Winn's feelings for Kara will resurface once he finds out about the two's budding romance.

Jordan told EW that Winn and Kara "never really dealt" with the former's feelings in past "Supergirl" episodes. Sure, they "spoke all the stuff aloud" but they also avoided each other afterwards and "swept it under the rug." The actor thinks that his "Supergirl" character will not be psyched and excited for Kara and Mon-El's romantic relationship if it indeed goes that way.

"Medusa" airs on Monday, Nov. 28 at 8:00-9:00 PM ET on The CW. Are you excited for Mon-El suiting up as a superhero? What do you think of his budding romance with Kara? Share your thoughts and watch the promo for the upcoming "Supergirl" episode below.
