Mother Makes Shocking Call To 911; Confesses She Stabbed Herself After Killing Two Children Ages 3, 7

An Indiana mother allegedly killed her two children, ages 7 and 3, then stabbed herself. She reported the crime to 911 and officials say that she confessed to the killings matter-of-factly.

The call was made on Thursday at around 4:35 A.M., police officials have confirmed. The mother was identified as 30-year-old Brandi Worley and her children were identified as seven-year-old Tyler Worley and three-year-old Charlie Worley. Sheriff Mark A. Casteel of Montgomery County Sheriff's office said that Brandi told the 911 dispatcher the following: "I just stabbed myself and killed my two children."

Officers were then dispatched to the home of Brandi in Darlington. The two children were found deceased inside a bedroom. Brandi reportedly admitted for the second time that she killed her children. She was taken to an area hospital for the treatment of her self-inflicted injuries to the neck. Casteel pointed out that the mother's confession was straightforward and did not seem like she was remorseful of what she did, People reported.

Casteel also said that there was no other available information as to how the children died because the investigation is still ongoing. The Montgomery County Coroner's office conducted autopsies on the two children on Friday.

CBS also reported that during the killing, the father of the two children, identified as Jason Worley, was asleep in the basement. He was unaware of what happened. He has not released a statement yet. The motive in the killings also remained unclear.

Brandi reportedly has no past run-in with the law but it was pointed out that Jason asked for a divorce earlier last week. Divorce papers were reportedly filed in Montgomery County last Wednesday but it's unclear if the said divorce is the reason behind the killings.

Tyler attended Sugar Creek Elementary and was a first grader. Charlie, on the other hand, was in preschool. North Montgomery Community Schools Superintendent Colleen Moran said in a statement that a support team of administrators, counselors, school resource officers and teachers will be providing counseling for those needing it.

Brandi remains at the Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital. As of writing, no charges have been filed.
