Rumors further increased when actress Sofia Vergara led the 2016 list of World's Highest-Paid Actress of Forbe's Magazine while Bowen was stuck far behind at spot number 10. The rankings allegedly fueled the feud, as per Christian Times.

Bowen addressed the undying controversies when the actress appeared on the Ellen DeGeneres show. During her interview, Bowen said she even went to Vergara to ask for her advice on how to deal with the rumors before the actual guesting.
