NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 News, Updates: Customization, BIOS Update, Bundles And More!

Customized "GeForce GTX 1070" Available in Asia Only

The Guru3D.com reported that there's a new customized colorful version of GeForce GTX 1070 which will be made available only in Asia. Called the "Colorful GeForce GTX 1070 iGame Snake X-Top," it will have a base clock of 657MHz and boost clock of 1860MHz while maintaining memory at 8GHz.

The most interesting feature about this "Colorful GeForce GTX 1070 iGame Snake X-Top" is its base clock: 657MHz. Lower base clock, lower power consumption, but still offers a great deal of user experience.

Ubuntu Laptop Powered by "GeForce GTX 1070"

An Ubuntu-based has arrived. Loaded with features that can be found with Windows-based laptops, the Oryx Pro is considered to be the ultimate Linux gaming laptop with a 15.6-inch 4K screen and NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 1070.

The basic Oryx Pro laptop will only costs about $1,987. Of course with additional memory and storage features, the price goes higher. The 4K Oryx Pro with 9TB of SSD storage which is pre-installed with with Ubuntu 16.04 or 16.10 is priced at $7,012.

MSI BIOS Issues Resolve

Just recently, MSI released the latest update on "GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G graphics card" (not applicable to other GeForce GTX 1070 models) to solve earlier reported issues that centers on overclocking. According to PCGamesN.com, not all GeForce GTX 1070 were affected, but only those that has memory modules from Micron.

In a statement released by NVIDIA back in September, the leading GPU manufacturer announced that they have improved the overclocking experience "for certain users" adding that the updated video BIOS will also made available to board partners at a later date.
