2 Kids And Their Mother Experience Assault From Their Mother's Boyfriend, Learn About Domestic Violence

Two babies along with their mother experienced an assault on November 19 in Union, Maine. The culprit happened to be the mother's boyfriend.

In an article published by WLBZ2, cops told the press about the call they got that involved an 18-month-old girl. She had her arm broken and was then rushed to the nearest hospital, which is the PenBay Medical Center. After hearing about the situation, that is also the time that they learned about the baby's sister, 5, and mother who were victims of assault by their mom's boyfriend.

Cops didn't say the reason behind the assault but the culprit, Jessie Tirrell, 27, is now being charged with aggravated assault, domestic violence, and unlawful sexual contact. He is currently at the Knox County Jail, and cops didn't reveal if he could go out with bail.

Portland Press Herald also got a hold of this news saying that Tirrell lives in the same house with his girlfriend and her kids. It is also the same place that the assault took place.

Domestic violence is a common issue, especially for couples and live-in partners. It is important that both parties are educated and aware of the consequences that involve when domestic violence is experienced inside the household. In fact, people who are about to get married are given a manual that talks about it, so they know what to do in case it happens.

Awareness is essential in this subject, and it is important that one knows their rights when it comes to the scope of domestic violence. If you are aware that your rights are being violated, it is a must that you call the authorities and seek help. It is unhealthy to remain in a relationship where someone beats you up and assault the people you love, especially when it involves your children.
