How Worried Should We Be About Sugar

Table sugar is an integral part of every possible food item that human beings consume. The question that arises is whether the consumption of table sugar is a healthier option. Parents might as well put a tag labeled "white poison" on every container in the kitchen containing sugar.

Most don't even realize that it is the basic sugar which is the main reason behind many diseases like obesity, diabetes, and dementia etc. Moreover, most people are not even aware of the content of sugar incorporated in the processed foods that they consume daily. Almost all of the processed foods contain an enormous amount of sugar and people are consuming this poison in ignorance.

According to NPR, sugar is the major cause of obesity. Sugar changes into fats inside the body and these deposits of fats keep occurring depending on the reckless consumption of unhealthy foods. It is a matter of great concern for us to limit our sugar intake since most people, especially in the U.S are consuming excessive amounts of sugar in their daily lives through all the carbonated drinks and the processed foods out there to deceive the mind.

One must be aware of such deceptions and start cutting down on foods that have unwanted fat and sugar. Sugar is the core culprit behind diabetes and let's not give it the permission to take over. WNYC further says that it does not cause the disease but is very well involved in worsening the health of a diabetic patient. In order to lead a healthy lifestyle, one has to lessen sugar intake. Sugar plays a vital role in building up toxic calories in the human body and taking it towards an unhealthy lifestyle.

It would be a word of wisdom to inform the public of how sugar is harming them. This might help them switch to better alternatives of sugar intake such as having fruits and raw sugarcane. Artificial sugar has been the sole cause of diabetes and obesity. Let's fight a good fight and quit excessive sugar from our lives which might help avoid life-threatening risks later on. It's high time that this particular ingredient should be thrown out of our kitchens
