Here One Wireless Earbuds Delayed Shipping Per Doppler Labs; Set to Ship on February? Apple AirPod Competition?

Similar to Apple AirPods, Doppler Labs have announced that they will put off shipping the Here One wireless earbuds until February 2017. The move was made in order to buy Doppler Labs more time to ensure that the Here One wireless earbuds is in good quality.

According to CNET, the Here One wireless earbuds was expected to ship this November, but Doppler Labs decided to take one final look on the wireless earbuds before going into mass production. Mass production of the Here One wireless earbuds is scheduled to begin on January 2017.

USA Today reported that Doppler Labs raised $600,000 on Kickstarter in 2014 for their other earphone product called Here Active Listening. A prototype version of the device was shown during the south by southwest conference last March. The project, however, didn't go into mass production.

The Here One wireless earbuds will not only be a wireless, cordless earbuds. As shown in the product demo, Here One wireless earbuds will also be able to modify sound settings depending on your location and personal preference.

Through the Here One app, Here One users will be able to customize the sound that reaches their ears, whether its removing background noise so you could focus on the person you are talking to or cancelling out the person in front of you and eavesdrop on the conversation happening behind you. Over time, Here One wireless earbuds will learn the user's preferences and act accordingly.

Doppler Labs was founded in 2013 and has garnered over $50 million from investors like the Chernin group after their Here Active Listening demo. The earphone industry has turned into a $12 Billion market, per report, and is expected to grow to $18 billion by  2023. And with Apple deciding to remove the earphone jack from the iPhone 7, wireless earphones are expected to grow even more.

Here One wireless earbuds is available for pre-order on Doppler Labs' website and will later be sold at stores. Currently, the Here One wireless earbuds are being sold for $299. It's much more pricey than Apple AirPods, which is being sold for $159.
