‘Luke Cage’ Season 2 Release Date: What To Expect For The Second Season [SPOILERS]

"Luke Cage" Season 1 ended when the Harlem hero went back to Seagate prison and left his sweetheart Claire Temple. The first season of the series focused on Power Man's origins, however, it's just the tip of an iceberg, here are the expectations for next season.

According to iDigitalTimes, Claire Temple would be there all along since she is currently the last known ally of Luke Cage. Misty Night and Jessica Jones 'got coffee' with Luke Cage and so with Claire Temple in "Luke Cage" Season 2.

Even though it is shown in the comics that Jessica Jones and Luke Cage will have a baby together, the Marvel-Netflix tandem might shake things a bit and go to Claire Temple and Luke Cage instead. The relationship of Jessica and Luke may be ending too painful to work past.

Another thing to expect for is the prison break out. A great lawyer which could either be Matt Murdock or Foggy Nelson is mentioned by Claire temple in the last episode of "Luke Cage" Season 1.

"Luke Cage" Season 2 is also expected to showcase Luke's brother Diamondback who will be the subject of an experiment which Dr. Noah Burstein will be undergoing. He's been chosen as a subject because Dr. Burstein believes that it is in Luke's DNA that made the original experiment successful.

What Culture also suggests that "Luke Cage" Season 2 would be the best time to introduce Misty Knight to her bionic arm. Misty Knight lost an arm in the Marvel comics, the "Luke Cage" detective was given a bionic arm by Tony Stark.

Above all of these, "Luke Cage" Season 2 release date is still pending as of the moment. Rumors are spreading that the release date of the show might be extended to 2018. However, avid fans are excited and are patiently waiting for the ending of 'Luke Cage' Season 1 which aired last Sept. 30 up until this time.
