‘Beauty And The Beast’ News: Can Emma Watson’s Film Surpass The Original Disney Movie? Veteran Actress Says "No"; Find Out Why!

The upcoming Disney film, "Beauty and The Beast" starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens is going to be a huge hit if one will just base it on the record-breaking views of its first official trailer. While many raves about the live-action remake and the gorgeous appearance of the 26-year old "Harry Potter" star as Belle, the new version of the classic film seems not to impress one celebrity. The criticism about the "Beauty and the Beast" not just come from anybody but from one of the most important casts of the original film, Ms. Angela Lansbury.

The 90-year old veteran actress doesn't understand why Disney would want to remake an already perfect classic as reported by Entertainment Weekly. Apparently, in an interview during a special screening, Angela Lansbury said that she thinks the "Beauty and The Beast" live-action remake starring Emma Watson will find it hard to surpass what the original movie has achieved. The 1991 hit is the first ever animation movie to be nominated for the Best Picture category of Oscars.

Meanwhile, a Movie News Guide article also said that Angela Lansbury thinks the old animation process wherein everything is drawn by hand is way better and makes the film legendary. It can be recalled that the British-American celebrity is the voice behind the memorable character of Mrs. Potts and also the one who sang the movie version of the hit theme song.

Still, Angela Lansbury also thinks that the "Beauty and The Beast" live-action remake has an excellent cast such as Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, and Luke Evans, She is also happy that her friend, Emma Thompson is the new Mrs. Potts.

Do you agree with the statement of actress, Angela Lansbury about the latest project of Emma Watson? "Beauty and The Beast" live-action remake will be released in June 2017.
