Kylie Jenner Didn’t Get The Presidential Medal Of Freedom; See Her Fans' Reaction

There's a photo of Kylie Jenner spreading around showing the reality star receiving the U.S. Medal of Freedom. Naturally, her fans were quick to congratulate the reality star for the prestigious award. Unfortunately, the photo is fake. What's going on with the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star?

The photo is actually a joke posted on Twitter, possibly photoshopped by a fan. It was captioned as “Kylie Jenner receiving the Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama yesterday for realizing stuff in 2016.”

The “realizing stuff” phrase is an allusion from Jenner's interview back in January. When asked about what she thinks of the year ahead, Jenner answered that “this year is about realizing stuff," as posted on her YouTube channel.

As of writing, the image has been retweeted 15,120 times and have gained 33,985 likes. Jenner's fans even congratulated the Kylie Cosmetics founder for her award.

The photo was even reposted by a fan on Instagram. Jenner gamely acknowledged the fake photo hilariously, and commented on the post with “stfu lmao.”

As it turns out, the photo is photoshopped from the original photo of Barbara Streisand, who in fact recently received the recognition from Pres. Obama.

Streisand was one of the 17 honorees, together with Gloria Estefan and Steven Spielberg who were awarded for their contributions in different fields for the country and the world, The Guardian reports.

While Jenner did not get the prestigious Medal of Freedom award, the 20-year-old reality star is far from being idle. The young star is busy building her own empire. She recently teamed up with sister Khloe Kardashian to release a special edition of her famous lip kit line.
