‘Beauty and the Beast 2017’ Latest Update: New Photos Released of 'Belle and Gaston'

"Beauty and the Beast 2017" has just released a few more photos, stirring excitement among avid followers. The new snapshot featured "Gaston" wooing "Belle" with a bunch of flowers. Emma Watson's Belle holds a book in hand while obviously uninterested.

Empire released the new photo as an exclusive, with the actual edition hitting newsstands in England on Friday. This scene is pivotal in the storyline of "Beauty and the Beast 2017" since this is where "Gaston," played by Luke Evans, gets irked at "Belle," played by Emma Watson, for not accepting his advances. "He gets as dark as any Disney character could possibly get. This is a man who, for the first time in his life, hasn't got what he wanted," Empire wrote.

"Beauty and the Beast 2017" is a live-action re-telling of Walt Disney's animated classic. Kids who were fascinated by the "tale as old as time" theme of love between a beautiful maiden and a hideous beast will not be disappointed with the amped-up version starring "Harry Potter" actress Emma Watson as "Belle." The much-loved movie will still use the original music while adding some new songs.

"Beauty and the Beast 2017" is a story of friendship and love. "Belle" is a bright, beautiful, and independent woman who is ahead of her time. She turns down the advances of "Gaston," a former soldier who is considered as a great catch in her day. She feels there must be more out of life. When she encounters the "Beast," she does her best to be nice to him. She also befriends the enchanted staff of the castle.

"Beauty and the Beast 2017" comes with an all-star cast and production crew. The live animation version of "Beauty and the Beast" is produced by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman. Music is under the direction of eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken. He had earned two Academy Awards for the 1991 animated film.

"Beauty and the Beast 2017" will be released on March 17, 2017, Coming Soon reports.
