Reddit Theory: Joker In ‘The Dark Knight’ Is The Real Hero Of Gotham [DETAILS HERE]

The Joker is one of the iconic villains in the "Batman" universe. No matter what comic edition or film it is, the Joker can only be described as a lying psychopath with a penchant for murder and mayhem. Now, a Reddit theory about Joker in the film, "The Dark Knight" casts the iconic "Batman" villain as the real hero of Gotham and not Batman.

The Reddit theory by Reddit user Generalzee claims that Joker was the real hero of Gotham city. The Reddit theory claims that Joker single-handedly eliminated the mobs and its bosses, eliminated the corrupt government and police officials, and propels Harvey Dent as a martyr of true justice in Gotham.

By doing all these, Joker has effectively cleaned up Gotham city of its criminals. But what about Batman, you ask. The Reddit theory claims that the role of Batman in all of these was orchestrated by the Joker. Batman has been ineffective in ridding Gotham city of crimes and corruption. By utilizing Batman and Harvey Dent, Joker was able to out the corrupt officials in Gotham. In a way, these so-called "Heroes of Gotham" were just pawns in Joker's master plan.

The Reddit theory about Joker as the real hero of Gotham seems possible. Joker has become the only major criminal in Gotham city as he has already eliminated the competition. The Joker inadvertently united all of the people of Gotham against him making Gotham stronger. The Joker even proved that vigilantism would be the basis of the society's downfall. No man should take justice with his or her own hands.

In the end, even if Joker was defeated, it was Batman who was ultimately crucified and ostracized by the people of Gotham. Batman's own goal of saving Gotham was ultimately achieved by Joker even if he did murder a lot of people along the way.

What do you think? Does the end justify the means? Are you seeing Joker as the real hero of Gotham now?
