Experts Point Out Differences Between Autism And Schizophrenia By Using The Diametric Model

A person is able to explore his inner self as well as external self. A rubber hand illusion was practiced and it was found out that healthy participants depicted ownership on the fake rubber hand.

The magazine Psychology Today says that it was concluded through this experiment that multisensory signal integration within PPS is a component of being able to demonstrate oneself in the space and differentiate from others.

In relation to factors to PPS, it has been found out that Schizophrenia and Autism are two different illness as demonstrated by the diametric model of illness. Schizophrenia subjects have been found out to depict early onset of effect in comparison to normal controls. Schizophrenic patients experience RHI at a higher rate. These individuals have a narrow gradient of distinguishing oneself from others. They represent weaker body demonstration in space, according to Autism Gazette. This creates a deep conundrum for schizophrenics as they experience a hard time figuring out and differentiating between imagination and reality.

On the other hand, it has been found out that individuals with Autism spectrum disorders also experience RHI, but at a low rate in comparison to former illness mentioned. They do face some malleability in their body but have a potential gradient to demonstrate their self from others. A strong body representation in space is evident. Autism patients are least likely to get into illusion. Diametric model was used for therapy as both diseases are opposite to each other so they demand opposite treatments.

Diametrically opposite treatment for diametrically opposite diseases is a consequence of the application of the diametric model. So if the model stands correct the two of illnesses are supposed to cancel each other.
According to diametric model, Autism and schizophrenia are two totally opposite diseases if the causes and effects are taken into consideration of the two diseases.
