MacBook Pro Alternatives: Ultrabooks Review & Comparison, Find Out Why These Laptops Rival Apple’s

Everybody has different tastes on just about everything. This also holds true when it comes to gadgets such as laptops. Not everyone wants an OS running on UNIX-based system like the Apple laptops. Its best-selling laptop, the MacBook Pro, may be facing competition from one these alternative ultrabooks running on Windows OS.

There are several aspects people look for when buying a laptop. Some people look at its functions and specifications while others focus on the style. For whatever the reason may be, MacBook Pro is considered to be the top of the line by many. However, if you are looking for other options, Microsoft Surface Book, Razer Blade and the HP Spectre X360 are good choices.

The Surface Book comes in different versions. It ranges from 128GB to 1TB internal storage, running on i5 to i7 processor and with 8GB to 16 GB of RAM. Its price ranges from $1499 to $3299 in the US.

It can be also used in three different ways. Microsoft's Surface Book can be used as a regular laptop, as a tablet that its calls clipboard mode and as draw mode. The addition of a pen is very useful when using it as a tablet.

Together with its futuristic design, great display and seamless transition to tablet, this makes the Surface Book an ultimate laptop. Its major drawback though is its battery, as it doesn't last as long as it promises.

On the other hand, if you are looking for a laptop that leans more towards gaming, then the best ones are the Razer Blades. These laptops were designed to meet the demands of the gamer in you. Attached with GeForce GTX 1060 GPU, it offers the latest high definition display which is perfect for games.

The Razer Blade laptop is divided into three categories, namely Blade Stealth, Blade Pro and Razer Blade. It offers a slightly larger screen display than the Macbook Pro. The laptop also comes equipped with a VR ready capabilities.

As for the design, the matt black finish exudes class and power. Some negative comments from other reviews say that it can get too hot and the speakers are not loud enough. Perhaps, its backlit Chroma keyboard can make up for that. Overall, the Razer Blade makes a great alternative for a gaming laptop because of its great graphics, 16GB RAM and long battery life.

Last but not the least on the list is HPs Spectre X360. As the name implies, this laptop can rotate to 360 degrees thanks to its revolutionary synchronized geared hinge. The design is slick and very thin, measuring only 13.8mm and weighing in at 2.85lbs.

The HP Spectre X360 like the MacBook Pro have fewer ports than the previously mentioned laptops. It is touchscreen-enabled much like the two though. The minimalist design is its highest selling point.

Other runner ups that can be a good alternative to Apple's MacBrook Pro include the Acer Aspire S 13, Dell XPS 15, and Asus Zenbook Pro UX501VW. All these laptops are some of the alternatives for MacBook Pro. If you want a laptop that doesn't run on iOS then you might like to consider getting one of these laptops instead.
