When Animals Attack: Squirrel Retaliates At Politician Who Called Them Aggressive!

It seems animals know when you're saying something bad about them. A squirrel retaliates at a politician who recently called them "aggressive".

Last October 21, Alderman Howard Brookins from the twenty-first district of Chicago has spoken out against "aggressive squirrels" that have been eating their way through the city one garbage cart at a time. "We are spending too much money on replacing garbage carts because the squirrels continue to eat through 'em", says the politician from Chicago.

It sure is quiet a problem for the city of Chicago. According to Chicago Sun-Times, the damage garbage carts cost up to $300,000 dollars to repair. Next year, Chicago is estimated to spend at least one million dollars for garbage carts alone.

It is quite understandable that Alderman Brookins is so angry about the squirrels. The alleged "aggressive squirrels" can eat a hole through a new garbage cart in just two days. Request for garbage cart repair or replacement is the city's most requested service.

Well, it seems squirrels are quite angry for being called aggressive by the politician. While Alderman Howard Brookins was biking along Cal-Sag Trail last November 13, a squirrel suddenly darted in his path. The squirrel got wrapped up in the spokes of the politician's bicycle. Because of this, the alderman got flipped over the handlebars of his bike and landed face first on the ground.

The alderman has gotten a fractured skull, broken nose, and lost some of his teeth from the severe impact. A female passerby called 911 for help. The politician was able to leave the hospital three days after the incident.

In an interview with the Star Tribune, Alderman Brookins said that the squirrel was a suicide bomber out for revenge. The politician also said his full recovery will take months.

In a Facebook post, Alderman Brookins shared he was doing well but will undergo several surgeries due to the damages he sustained in his face and upper body. However, the opposite can be said to the squirrel who retaliated at the politician. The squirrel died due to the incident with the alderman's bike.

We bet Alderman Howard Brookins will think twice before speaking against Chicago's squirrels ever again. The fight between Alderman Brookins versus Chicago's squirrels might have ended in a draw but we totally think the squirrels won the fight.
