Mark Zuckerberg's Solutions To Stop Spreading Of Fake News On Facebook Feeds

Where do people read the news these days? Surprisingly the newspaper or the broadcasting organization is not the main thing. It is the social network, especially Facebook.

Facebook has 1.6 billion users and has become one of the most important places for the news to be shared with. In the United States, more than 40 percent of the population claim they get their news on Facebook. It is where they share and comment on a different news.

However, lots of news on Facebook are fake and completely made up, but this does not stop people from sharing it. Whoever is responsible for this fake news have same motives and that is to earn money. They cause mischief and make this a living by the nature of their businesses.

When the spread of fake news started, Mark Zuckerberg seems unwilling to tackle debate about this. He dismissed the idea that some fake news were about presidential elections. Later it became clear that this position is untenable and even Facebook has plenty of agonizing over the fakery.

Mark Zuckerberg plans to identify these untrue stories and will disrupt the economics of this fake news to make sure they will not benefit from advertising. The Facebook is trying their best to form some kind of algorithm to screen the true news from the fake ones. They could use some new technology solution for this age-old problem.

The change of mind of Zuckerberg on this just adds how powerful of an editor he is. Earlier this week came up a story on the Facebook feed saying, "Facebook worked on special software so it could potentially accommodate censorship demands in China."

From the story, one could easily say that it is fake and everyone knows Zuckerberg deep interest in China. With all these fake news spreading on Facebook, how could the Facebook team solve this problem? Share your thoughts on the fake news spreading on Facebook.
