'Once Upon A Time' Season 5 Spoilers & Trailer: Sneak Peek Released At D23 Expo; Everyone Wants To Save Emma

The cast and crew of ABC's "Once Upon a Time" did not miss to join the magical, and celebrated event of Disney's D23 Expo held from August 14 to 16 at the Anaheim Convention Center. Among the "Once Upon A Time" stars who graced the said event were Ginnifer Goodwin, Lana Parrilla and Josh Dallas. Creators Adam Horowitz and Eddie Kitsis were also present,  Zap2It reports.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, during the panel, fans were treated to the upcoming season's opening minute. Yes, they revealed the first minute of season 5, and it starts exactly where season 4 left off — with Emma (Jennifer Morrison), taking the power of the Dark One in order to save the former Evil Queen, Regina before she vanishes and left the dark one's dagger with her name engraved on it.

In the short teaser, one will hear Regina asking, "How could she be so stupid?" Snow points out that Emma did it to save her and she acknowledges that she is aware of it. However, her first reaction was filled with disappointment and concern, "Now she's a problem for all of us. ... It's not like she rode off on a unicorn. She got sucked up into a vortex of evil!"

According to Bustle, the synopsis did not reveal too much information, but it seems to confirm previous speculations that people close to Emma will do their best to save her before she turns into a full Dark Swan. An earlier report from TV Guide suggested that "Emma's friends and family, led by Regina, will try to find a way to save her before she becomes the full-on Dark Swan."

According to Zap2It, Regina feels responsible with what happens to Emma and it upsets her. Parrilla, who played Regina, believe that no one has ever made a similar sacrifice to her. Kitsis confirmed this, "It's not what she wants to do. She hates owing people things. Now she feels like she really has to band together with everyone to save Emma."

The report suggests that everyone wants to save Emma, but they can't agree how to fix the Dark Swan problem as each has a different opinion. Hook and Regina do not agree with their ideas so as  Snow White and Charming. As Horowitz puts it, "There's some friction."

Hook was the first one to summon Emma but to no avail. "If I can't find her, I can d*** well bring her to me," Hook said. Regina then realizes that Emma, the Dark One does not appear because "she's not in this world" and Regina called Hook, "guyliner," Zap2It has learned.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5 will on September 27 at 8:00 pm ET/PT on ABC.
