According to TVLine, unlike similar-themed series such as "The Walking Dead," "Z Nation" focuses on zombie kills and over-the-top gore paired with pitch-black humor. "Z Nation" was originally created by Craig Engler and Karl Schaefer and produced by The Asylum, known for films like "Dead Men Walking" and "Sharknado." "Z Nation" Season 3 is currently airing Friday nights at 9/8c on Syfy.
The apocalypse zombie drama "Z Nation" Season 3 will conclude on Dec. 16, with its season finale. With mostly positive reviews from critics, "Z Nation" is truly Syfy's series hit, per TV By The Numbers. The show stars Russell Hodgkinson, Nat Zang, and Kellita Smith.
"Z Nation" takes place 3 years after a zombie virus took over the entire US. A group of heroes try to transport from New York to California the only known survivor of the virus attack. The only remaining virus lab waits to receive the blood of the survivor.
