Universal Studios And Nintendo Partnership, Should Disney Be Worried?

The upcoming Nintendo attractions in Universal Parks and Resorts are going to be huge. Recent updates were posted by Nintendo, which promises a larger than life Nintendo Experience.

Nintendo and Universal Studios, two titans from the different corners of the entertainment industry, joined forces to create a fusion between the digital and real world. Although this has been announced more than a year ago, both companies have once again sparked the hype. This sign could possibly mean that the much anticipated Nintendo World in Universal Studio's theme parks are nearing completion.

According to the recent Nintendo post, the upcoming attraction is going to be an "expansive, immersive and interactive. They will be highly themed and authentic environments filled with multiple attractions, shops, and restaurants," and that guest will feel that they are playing their favorite Nintendo games with a promise to feature "something for everyone, regardless of their age or gaming experience level" and that the first announcement will come soon.

Three locations of Universal Parks and resorts (Osaka, Orlando, and Hollywood) will feature the Nintendo attraction. The main goal of this conglomerate is not only to bring Nintendo's characters to life but the whole gaming experience "breathtakingly authentic ways" from the creative visionaries of Nintendo World and Universal Parks and Resort's creative team.

The partnership between Universal Parks and Resorts with Nintendo may be the answer to Disney's acquisition of Marvel in 2012. Although the Marvel Superhero Island still exists within Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida, other Universal Parks and Resorts locations won't be able to create additional Marvel attractions in other locations. Nintendo's innovative way of executing things and Universal Studio's strategic approach will possibly make waves that will be felt by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts who is currently no comment on the issue.
