"Sherlock Season 4" star Benedict Cumberbatch may see his character say goodbye to Mycroft Holmes (Mark Gatiss) after Episode 3, popularly nicknamed the "Sherrinford" episode. Mark Gatiss, who is both co-creator and co-writer for the BBC series, may reportedly be playing Mycroft Holmes as a series regular for the last time.

The question, however, is if Myrcoft Holmes will be leaving along with the rest of the series cast in case non-renewal for Season 5. Or if Sherlock Holmes will lose his older brother to a fatal circumstance.

Certainly, Mycroft and Sherlock Holmes, intricate though each may be, have been growing into a semblance of relative normalcy as brothers and individuals in the BBC series. Fans are coming to understand the strange dynamics between these Holmes brothers.
