‘Red Dead Redemption 2’ News Updates: ‘RDR 2’ Petition For PC Has Almost 50,000 Signatures, Rockstar Giving In?

The trailer for the highly anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2" game has been published. Although fans of the "Red Dead Redemption" series were elated to know the game has been finally confirmed to come out, some were also disheartened as the trailer only showed the title will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. "RDR" fans using PC took time out to cheer for a PC release via an online petition.

PC gamers seemed to have been denied of the franchise as the original "Red Dead Redemption" was also not made available to PC. Now that the "RDR 2" was not announced to come to PC, a petition was made online to request Rockstar Games to release the game to the PC console too.

The petition, through change.org, is titled "Rockstar: Release 'Red Dead Redemption 2' on PC." The petition emphasized how PC gamers were already denied from getting access to the first installment, "Red Dead Redemption" which the petitioners labeled as an "amazing game," so they are requesting that Rockstar Games will not repeat the unfortunate non-release to PC with the upcoming "RDR 2."

The petition for "RDR 2" on PC was first posted last month and as of this time, there were already more than 46,500 supporters who have signed the petition, which is close to its 50,000 targets. PC gamers are still hoping Rockstar Games will consider their petition, now that it has reached a significant number of votes from fellow PC users. Will Rockstar Games grant the request? Rockstar is yet to comment on this as there is still no official statement regarding the developer's plan to release "RDR 2" to other consoles other than Xbox One and PS.

PlayStation has already announced last month that PS4 players will be given first access to "Red Dead Redemption 2" game. This access will enable them to earn some online content in the game too.

Meanwhile, PlayStation has recently announced through its Twitter account that "Red Dead Redemption" will be included in the PlayStation Now library on Dec. 6.

"Red Dead Redemption 2" is expected to be released in fall 2017.
