Netflix Now Has an 'Offline Playback' Feature; See What Movies and TV Series You Can Stream Offline Now

Movie lovers will now be able to take their movie viewing experience on-the-go through their smartphone or tablet device as Netflix announces its new offline playback feature. And the new offline playback feature will not have any extra cost.

According to The Verge, Netflix users will be able to stream Netflix original TV series like "Stranger Things," "Orange Is the New Black," "Narcos," and "The Crown" while on-the-move through their smartphones even without Internet coverage. Users will also be able to take "Kung Fu Panda 3," "Paddington," "Pulp Fiction," and "Good Will Hunting" offline.

For now, not all movies and TV series in the Netflix library are available for the download and offline playback feature, but more movies and TV series will be available in the future. Netflix users will be able to see what movies and TV series are available for download and offline playback through the Netflix menu.

As seen in Netflix's help page, Netflix users will be able to choose the quality of the offline video they wish to download. The standard-quality videos will have lower resolution, but will consume less space on the smartphone or tablet device and will take less time to download. The higher-quality video will require more storage space and download time.

Variety made a complete list of movies and TV series that can be played offline. The list includes movies like "London Has Fallen," Boyhood," and "Spy Kids" in the movies category. While under the TV series category, there is "Arrow," "Breaking Bad," and "Naruto."

TV specials like "David Blaine: Real or Magic" and "Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas" can also be viewed through the Netflix's offline playback feature. Documentaries can be viewed as well, like "A Dog's Life," "Kevin Hart: I'm a Grown Little Man," and "Matt Shepard Is A Friend Of Mine."

To use the offline playback feature, Netflix users will need to a smartphone or tablet device that runs on iOs 8.0 or later for apple devices and Android 4.4.2 Kitkat or later for Android devices.
