‘Narcos’ News Updates: Pablo Escobar Committed Suicide; How Different Is The TV Series From The Upcoming Book? [SPOILERS]

The son of "Narcos" lead role Pablo Escobar, Sebastian Marroquin (formerly known as Juan Pablo Escobar), has just made a firm statement to correct the TV series' plot on his father's death. According to Marroquin, Pablo Escobar was not shot by the Colombian cops but actually committed suicide by shooting himself. Also, Pablo's son pointed out that there were 28 inaccuracies in the Netflix' "Narcos" TV series.

Reports say that Pablo Escobar was shot by the Colombian cops during a shootout in a rooftop on Dec. 2, 1993. This is the same scenario in the TV series "Narcos." However, the son of Escobar shocked the public when he said in an interview that Pablo Escobar killed himself by shooting his head to avoid being captured. According to Marroquin, the coroners just made a false autopsy to comply with their desired version of events.

Marroquin told The Sun that the coroners behind the autopsy were allegedly threatened to alter the final report and that he is extremely confident that his father has indeed committed suicide. Pablo's son claims that his father has already told him that "the shot that would take his [Pablo's] life would stick."

Morroquin made the shocking statements prior to the release of the book he wrote titled "Pablo Escobar: In Fraganti" which is translated as "Red Handed." In the book, Pablo's son revealed that he had the chance to talk to his father over the phone, about 10 minutes before the latter's death.

Pablo's son further added that his father decided to take his own life as his way to protect his family from being captured by his enemies, specifically mentioning the rival gang, Los Pepes. Marroquin also emphasized how Pablo values his family so much and recalled the last time he saw his father. Pablo actually wept when he bade goodbye to his family, which seems like it was already his last farewell.

Moreover, Marroquin claimed there were 28 inaccuracies in the "Narcos" TV series from Netflix. Pablo's son explained that the TV series opted to utilize the reports from DEA, which Marroquin also pointed out that none from the said office has ever encountered his father face to face.
