'Aquaman' Movie News & Update: Working Title Revealed! What Is It?

Aquaman is going to be featured solo for the first time and the film's production is about to begin. The test had a bit of difficulty to start off despite being a long-awaited comic book adaptation but Warner Bros is dedicated turning that into positive for the progress of the DC Extended Universe.

James Wan (The Conjuring), Aquaman's director is engulfed with pre-production tasks that involved the nature of the character, and the way it is going to capture viewers. The scope might still expand as the pre-work are being undertaken but the fact that the Aquaman movie is soon to be a reality is a big news to the DC universe fans , says Screen Rant.

Jason Mamoa, the star of the movie is also sharing the take-off challenge with director Wan by helping in social media promotions. The working title has just been disclosed and although it might not be the most clandestine, it comes with a sly wit.

"Ahab" as it is revealed recently is the working title of Aquaman's initial movie that is about to be tested to generate positive or negative results. The choice is influenced by the world of comic books like Moby Dick particularly the Captain Ahab character. He is the white whale-obsessed seaman that bit off his leg. "Ahab" is also the seventh king of Israel in the bible.

DCEU is noted for being sophisticated and literature-inclined and it is also the case in this simple but meaningful "Ahab" title. Fans will never be disappointed if they happen to research about its background. James Wan could never be proud to come up with another masterpiece that is not only intellectual but action-filled entertainment material as well.

Aquaman's target completion date is on July 27, 2018 - that should come before Shazam which is on April 5, 2019; Justice League 2 scheduled on June 14, 2019; Cyborg which is seen happening on April 3, 2020; and Green Lantern Corps estimated to be launched on July 24, 2020, according to Comic Book.
