A Different Barbie To Be Featured For Its First-Ever Live-Action Film, Is Amy Schumer Perfect For The Role?

Barbie, the gorgeous blonde with an hourglass figure is undoubtedly one of the most popular toys of all time. With a list of successful animated movies done such as "Barbie and the Secret Door" and "Barbie: Star Light Adventure" the doll leading a fantastic life is now coming up with its first live-action film and to star in it is none other than Amy Schumer. The "Barbie" movie starring Schumer will reportedly feature the Mattel doll in an entirely different plot, making this upcoming flick a must-see.

According to Hollywood Reporter, Sony is set to produce the Barbie live-action film with Amy Pascal, Walter F. Parkes, and Laurie MacDonald. The team is also looking for a director to work on the project.

Meanwhile a Huffington post details the plot of the new Barbie film and why comedienne, Amy Schumer is perfect for it. Apparently, netizens did not give a positive response to the news that the 35-year old actress will portray Barbie. Rude comments center on Schumer's weight and appearance saying she may need to shed pounds to be perfect for the role.

Yet as per reports, the plot of this live-action movie will start in Barbie's dream world wherein the main character will ultimately realize she doesn't belong. The seemingly perfect life of the lovable doll will be gone as Barbie will find herself thrown in the real world. This will open an entirely new journey for Barbie and will lead to a new insight about perfection.

Though the plot may seem a bit predictable, it will surely be interesting to see how the talented Amy Schumer will do as Barbie. The fresh plot may also give young viewers a healthy view about self-image and feminism.
