Apple MacBook Pro: Model With Touch Bar Has Battery Troubles?

The new Apple MacBook Pro with Touch Bar might have battery problems after several users took to social media and forums to voice out their complaints.

Owners of the latest Apple model, which was first introduced last October, have lodged complaints saying that the computer only lasts three to six hours on a single charge before they're forced to charge it again. Those who play games, on the other hand, claim that the model's battery life quickly falls toward the bottom of the range, according to Fortune.

These complaints come from users who have the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar in both the 13-inch and 15-inch variants. The model has a glass touchscreen above its keyboard that lets users intermingle with the software on the screen. The model also comes with a fingerprint sensor called Touch ID, the first in the history of Mac, which is used to unlock the software.

The issues about the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar's battery is in contrast with Apple's claims about the models lasting up to 10 hours of battery life with wireless Internet surfing, as well as 10 hours of iTunes movie playback. However, Apple appears to have fallen short of keeping their promises to their customers.

"I just received my new 15″ MacBook Pro with touch bar. The battery life is horrible!!! I have Safari open with 6 tabs and with 95% battery, I am told that I have under 3 hours of battery life left," one user from Apple's support forum wrote, according to The Next Web.

It remains unknown as to what actually caused the batteries to perform poorly. However, technology experts have claimed that the battery's poor performance might have something to do with the Radeon graphics chip. Apple is expected to conduct some reports to try and solve the problem, but that has not stopped customers from returning their MacBook Pro with Touch Bar models to where they bought it in exchange for refunds.
