Ciara Slams Future's Accusations About Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson, Says She Can Protect Son

The feud between Ciara and former fiancé Future regarding the involvement of NFL star Russell Wilson in the life of the ex-couple's son, Future Zahir, has once again made headlines. Taking to social media to vent his disappointment and frustration over the growing closeness of his son with the Seattle Seahawks quarterback, the rapper continues to slam his former flame on her decisions in connection with their child.

The issue eased its way back into the spotlight when Future wrote on Twitter, "Never make a permanent decision over a temporary circumstance #umtoobossedup" Presumably, this post came soon after Ciara lugged along her son in a visit to the offseason training sessions of the Seattle Seahawks. The moment the mother and son tandem arrived in the NFL team's training grounds, photographers flocked the scene which subsequently resulted in a number of pictures of the trio going viral online.

One particular picture showed the 15-month-old boy cuddling up to the Seattle Seahawks player, with Wilson's arm around the child. Another picture showed Wilson and Ciara sharing a smooch while Future Zahir adorably looked up to the two adults. A third photo saw Wilson and baby Zahir wearing matching football jerseys in red with the Seattle Seahawks athlete reaching out to the boy.   

"Wouldn't you want someone to love on your child, or love on the child that you're speaking about?"  asked Ciara during an interview with CBS News, referring to the perceived anger of Future over her son's growing relationship with Wilson. She then pointed out that she does not do things randomly especially when it comes to her son as she is very cautious on the matters that might affect Zahir in the future.

While she understands that her former fiancé is iffy about Wilson's presence in the life of the boy, she expressed her frustration over his refusal to discuss the matter in a mature manner. "To speak on such a sensitive and real situation when you don't have all the facts, that to me is the frustrating part of it all because again, us adults will be fine, but my son has to grow up one day and he has to see," Ciara said. She disclosed, "We didn't get to talk, so that was that."

Ciara and Wilson first made headlines when the Seattle Seahawks star revealed that they are practicing celibacy before marriage. Citing his religious beliefs as the reason for this decision, the NFL star believes that the two should first build a romantic relationship based on pure love before getting into the physical aspect.
