'Oceans' Movie Cast, News & Update: Newest Villain Revealed! Check Out Who! [SPOILERS]

Almost ten years has passed since the last "Oceans" was released on the big screen. Just recently, the eight installment of the 1960's movie is already underway and the new villain has been revealed.

The "Oceans" trilogy originally revolved around Danny Ocean and his group performing heists. The group always consisted of men. The upcoming installment will present a different approach since it'll be the women who will do the action.

"Ocean's Eight" has been finalizing its roster of characters and cast for the past months. It is safe to say that the movie creators were able to choose the perfect actor to play the role of the new villain in this upcoming season.

Much known for his Marine Sergeant role in the "Homeland" series, Damien Lewis has been chosen to become the main antagonist in the "Oceans Eight" movie, Variety reported. No specific update has been given with regards to the protagonists in the movie but Damien's role has been set albeit his character still nameless.

"The Proposal" star, Sandra Bullock, will lead the group of ladies as she is Danny Ocean's sister. She is also the ex-girlfriend of Damien.

Damien Lewis' character will be the center of the forthcoming season as Sandra and her team will try to mug him. This only means that Damien is either a wealthy man or an important character in this season. We can expect to see more of Damien in the movie as sources say that he will be more than just a cameo character.

This pairing makes "Oceans" fans curious of the outcome. Will Sandra Bullock and her lady group pull off the heist successfully? Per CinemaBelnd, "Ocean's Eight" is modeled from the original trilogy in 2001 and 2007 which stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Julia Roberts and more. In the upcoming film, the group faces a huge amount of pressure as they will be compared to Danny's original crew.

Along with Damien Lewis and Sandra Bullock in the "Oceans Eight" cast are Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett, Mindy Kaling, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Dakota Fanning, and Awkwafina. "Oceans Eight" will come to the big screens on June 8, 2018.
