‘Orange Is The New Black” Season 5 Spoilers: Characters And Relationships To Take Center Stage In The New Season?

Spoilers for "Orange is the New Black" season 5 are now floating on the web, giving the fans of Piper (Taylor Schilling) and Alex (Laura Prepon) some snippets on what to expect for the new season. An old character will most likely return, while the messy relationship of Maureen and Crazy Eyes will take center stage when the series returns for season 5.

Fans of the hit series "Orange is the New Black" will most likely see a previous character to return in season 5. Sophia (Laverne Cox), who has been missing since season 4 is speculated to re-appear in season 5. Sophia might be promoted to series regular as her character will now be seen out of the SHU.

Aside from the series regular cast, Piper, Alex, Red (Kate Mulgrew), and Gloria Mendoza (Selenis Levya), it is possible that fans will still see Despicable Correctional Officer Humphrey (Michael Torpey) and Lolly (Lori Petty) in the upcoming season of "OITNB."

Moreover, season 5 is expected to highlight the romance between Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) and her suitor Maureen (Emily Althaus) in the Medical Ward. According to Cinema Blend, the new season might continue to feature the messy relationship of the two. Although Crazy Eyes is still mourning for Poussey (Samira Wiley), fans will then see her refocus her attention to Maureen in the next season.

Meanwhile, Lori Petty (Lolly) has already revealed to the Hollywood Reporter that her character will most likely return in season 5. Fans can recall that Lolly played a significant part when she helped saved Alex's life in the finale of season 4. In the interview, Lori Petty detailed that she is already excited to start filming and that she is just anticipating the call from showrunner Jenji Kohan for her to resume shooting. The actress also detailed that "OITNB" season 5 will have 13 episodes.
