'Blade Runner 2049' Will Be Rated R Claims Director; First Teaser Trailer Shows Ryan Gosling And Harrison Ford!

Last Monday, the first official trailer for "Blade Runner 2049" was released and it showed the stars of the new flick Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford. The movie is said to be Rated R as per the claim of the director of "Blade Runner 2049."

"Blade Runner 2049" will be out in theaters this October 2017 and in the official first trailer revealed, it seems that the earth will be much different by then. In one of the scenes, the smog was so bad that Gosling's character was walking through a yellow-orange surrounding. A statue's head was also seen in the trailer and a building where Ford was introduced. Ford was seen holding a gun as Gosling played a key in the piano. Ford's character said that he used to do the job of Gosling's character once and he was good at it. Gosling then answered back by saying that things were much simpler then, CNET reported.

"Blade Runner 2049" shows both the old and the young blade runners. The lines of Ford's Deckard and Gosling's K made fans wonder how bad the world has been after 30 years. It is believed that the Replicants are ruining the earth or are running things during that year.

As for "Blade Runner 2049" being rated R, The Hollywood Reporter shared that director Dennis Villeneuve said that it will not be rated PG-13. The sequels to dark 80s movies are expected to be as violent and as dark as the original so it is understandable that "Blade Runner 2049" will be getting a rated R rating. It is believed that the success of "Deadpool" influenced the R rating for "Blade Runner 2049." Other R-rated 2017 flicks are "Logan" and "Alien: Covenant."

Also, it was revealed that "Blade Runner 2049" might get more sequels as Villeneuve said that they would see how the sequel will be accepted and from there more movies might be made. The movie was made 36 years after the release of the original movie and Ford reprised his role as Deckard in the original flick.
