Sylvester Stallone Confirms That ‘The Expendables 4’ Will Be The Last Sequel; Other Cast Members Revealed!

"The Expendables," a film that brought together the biggest action stars of the 80's will be back for a fourth instalment on 2018. Apparently, the upcoming flick will be the final chapter of the movie starring Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. As posted in Independent UK, veteran actor, Sylvester Stallone is all set to revisit his role in the action film that was first released in 2010. Aside from taking one of the major characters in the story, Stallone also happens to be the writer of this film.

The first movie was a huge box-office success with gross earnings of $274 million worldwide, thus encouraging the release of two more sequels. "The Expendables 2" and "The Expandables 4" saw the addition of Jet Li, Antonio Banderas, Bruce Willis, and Wesley Snipes to the cast.

As both movie sequels fared well in the box-office, the buzz about "The Expendables 4" has been going on for some time. Earlier reports claim that the said movie is supposed to be released in 2016 but that obviously did not push through. The plot of "The Expendables" follows the adventures of a group of soldiers as they carry out various missions.

This time, viewers can positively look forward to "The Expendables 4" especially, since both Statham and Schwarzenegger expressed excitement to do the movie. The next question now is who will be the new cast members?

According to Express UK, no information about casting has been released. However, current rumors suggest the possibility of Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan joining the sequel.
