Mother And Son Found Dead In NY Apartment; Dad Accused Of Strangling Son To Death After Seeing Crime Scene

A former teacher, who was impregnated by her former student, and her son were found dead in their apartment in the Bronx. The father of the child reportedly strangled his four-year-old son to death after the child walked in on the crime scene.

New York Daily News reported that the woman was identified as Felicia Barahona and the four-year-old boy was identified as Miguel Barahona. The suspect was identified as Isaac Infante and investigators claim that he confessed to the crime.

Miguel was said to be in the bathroom when Infante attacked Felicia. Infante was then standing over the lifeless body of Felicia when his son came to the room. Infante then choked his son to death and placed the boy's body back into the bathtub before he fled from the apartment.

Assistant District Attorney Nicole Blumberg said in a statement that the defendant detailed the killing of Felicia. Infante said that he took a cord and used it to choke Felicia until she turned blue. Infante, 23, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the double homicide.

Infante and Felicia had a sexual relationship when he was still in high school. She delivered Miguel in August of 2012 and they were supposed to get married but they had a massive fight that ended their relationship.

Infante said he was angry for paying child support and he reportedly told officials that he had the intention to harm Felicia when he went to her apartment. He was also angry because Felicia fed their son foods from fast food chains.

The superintendent from where Felicia and her son have been living received a complaint from one of the other residents living in the apartment. Foul odor was said to be coming from the apartment of the mother and son. Authorities were called to the area, CBS reported.

Infante turned himself to police officials after his sister showed a photo of him in a red hooded sweatshirt, which was the same clothing captured in the surveillance video of a neighbor in the apartment. He left the red sweatshirt behind and was taken for evidence.
