Blackberry QNX Partners With Obigo, Could Dominate The Future Of Vehicle Tech

Blackberry has been busy not only with their mobile device but with their vehicle tech as well. The vehicle tech department of Blackberry may not be as popular as their mobile division, but this side of Blackberry boasts some of the most secure and innovative features found in a vehicle.

Blackberry QNX has recently partnered with Obigo which is one of the leading provider of browser software based in South Korea. Obigo is currently developing a "Chrome Blink-based HTML5 engine, which will enhance the browser experience of your infotainment systems," according to a Blog on Blackberry's website. Blackberry QNX has more than fifty percent global market share and is present in over 60 million vehicles. The technology of Obigo will simplify and accelerate the development cycle of the product.

The Blackberry QNX can be considered as a perfect combination between finesse and security. The Blackberry Qnx software has been recognized by various award-giving organizations in technology. The Operating Systems produced by Blackberry QNX are some of the most reliable dashboard companions for vehicles. Another important update I the Launch of the Autonomous Vehicle Innovation Centre (AVIC) earlier this week. The event was unveiled by John Chen (CEO of Blackberry) and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau who said that "With the opening of its innovation centre in Ottawa, BlackBerry is helping to establish our country as the global leader in software and security for connected car and autonomous vehicle development," based on the news by QNX.

Innovation wise, Blackberry has been one of the best in the Industry when it comes to software security and functionality. The company almost took over the mobile messaging market with its BBM feature. Blackberry is also making a big comeback into the mobile phone department. The progress and the development of Blackberry Mercury DTEK 70 are currently one of the most anticipated smartphones in 2017. A big announcement will also be made by Blackberry QNX in the upcoming CES 2017 in Las Vegas on January 5-8,2017.
